Toddlers are at a stage where they do not want to sit in a pram all the time and need to have a clear view of the places they are visiting and be able to participate in conversation with you. They want to be treated like adults but at the same time they are dependent. They want to travel in style, some kids do not want to sit in car seat or pram or tied by a harness. I got a trike, scooter, balance bike, car and so on just to see what my kid would prefer but his favourite are a little red car and a trike that I can push.
I am going to list out options that toddlers like, you can see what your kid prefers. The best solution is to try your friend’s kids stuff and see what your kid likes and then invest in it..
Car Travel:
I have a Cybex iSize Sirona which is good from birth to 4 years of age. I have listed more about car seats appropriate rom birth and toddler under baby section (Home – Baby – Travel).
If you want to see options in order to move on from toddler car seats, see below some options to consider:
Anything from Group 2 onwards is what you will be looking for. Ofcourse you can continue to use car seats for longer time if the one you have is as part of the Group 1,2,3. If your car seat is going to serve your kid till the toddler years then let your kid choose his or her car seat if possible. This would help them to like their seats and build on their confidence as they are the ones going to sit on it for so many years. This does not mean that you must give them extensive choices just give them to choose from a couple of your narrowed down options.
This is Cybex family car seat suitable from 3 years of age.

Outdoor travel:
My kid started not liking his buggy since he turned one, so I had to look into options for our walks. We got a trike for him that was convertible as in parents can push it when babies can rest their legs and then can progress to being pedalled by the toddler when they are ready. I also tried 3 in 1 scooter that can be parent controlled and babies can sit on it and then it converts into a scooter when they are three. I looked into options like push car, balance bikes and so on.
Trike:
Convertible trikes or trike that grow with your baby are great investments. It can start from the phase where parents can control it until babies are ready to pedal themselves. These are entertaining for toddlers as they can see more and enjoy their journey.
Push Car:
If you want your toddler to travel in style, then push car is your option. Most of the models have the option of parents pushing it but some have the option of kids pushing it. Some can be electronic but they are quite expensive. Many of these are good from as young as 12 months. Some examples are mentioned below:

Scooter is great mode of toddlers traveling. Some are suitable from 2 years old too. Some scooters grow with your toddler. It starts with parents pushing to a full scooter for the older toddler.
